Enviro-friendly Tables from Indonesia

Do you like the idea of having a one-of-a-kind, environmentally friendly table? So do we, especially in a sea of same ol’ same ol’ when it comes to mass-produced furniture.

Natura Round Root Coffee TableOur exquisite Indonesian tables and consoles are all made from recycled teak, suar root or reclaimed boat wood – meaning each piece is unique, and even more importantly – reduces our carbon footprint.

The talented artisans and furniture designers we work with in Indonesia create only the highest-quality, handmade pieces and consider craftsmanship crucial. The tables and consoles speak to the trends in modern design without being ‘trendy’, and lend tactile warmth to your home.

We particularly like the look of suar wood, also known as Rain Tree or Monkeypod wood, which is grown in tropical rainforests, including Indonesia. As this tree grows extremely fast, it is considered highly sustainable.

This wood is extremely strong with a beautiful grain and texture that shows off well, whether it be the sculptural roots used for the base of a table with a simple glass tabletop, or a solid slice of suar as the surface on metal legs.
